A good beginning to MotherTheme …
Sunday, July 13th, 2008MotherTheme has had a good beginning, and I’m working primarily on marketing, since that’s what creates sales, which is the lifeblood of any business.
The new members are busily working on using MotherTheme, we have had some good beginning discussion in the member forum. I have also had some nice emails and comments from our new members, about the theme, saying it’s high on innovation and creativity, and that this is going to be a big help to them.
I’m going to be creating the skins repository soon, so that I can give you access to more skins to use. I also hope to have a place for you to upload your own skins, if you are interested in creating some.
But for now, please enjoy the theme. The current developer license is at a ridiculously low price, so get in while you can at this price, before it goes up, up and away!

One of my major goals in starting this website was to help web designers who are just starting out. When I was starting out I had to look all over to find out how to do various different parts of web design. My hope is to get enough content loaded for you that this can become a sort of one-stop shop for learning how to do web design without going to a university for it.
This week’s theme is again a Wordpress theme. I think we’re all starting to see a pattern here …
This theme is called back to basics but perhaps that’s a little misleading. This theme pulls out a lot more stops than most other themes you could get your hands on. There are 6 different sidebar positions where you can load widgets. This means you can really make this theme custom for your own situation, without having to learn any coding at all.
I’m excited to release this week’s theme, called Night Grid. It’s dark, hopefully you like dark themes as much as I do. Make a comment on this post to let me know!
True to our promise of one brand new theme every single week, here is the latest, Wide Sky. It’s a Wordpress theme that’s been tested with both 2.3 and 2.5. It may also work fine with older versions.
The page validates in CSS and HTML 1.0. This means you will have a faster loading website and cleaner code. You can boast about it all you want.
OK, I am pretty happy with how this theme worked out. I think it can be used in a lot of different ways.
